What To Expect After A Pest Control Treatment Service?

A house full of ants, cockroaches, spiders, rodents, and other pests is not a happy home. Once an infestation occurs, it is often difficult to eradicate these pests on your own. Therefore, with the help of a professional pest control specialist for your residential and commercial properties, you can eradicate pests and prevent them from recurring in the future.

Pests Activity Can be Higher

After using a pest control treatment, don't be shocked if pest activity increases, especially for cockroaches and ants. Since the treatment forces the pests away from their habitat, an increase in pest activity is to be expected. However, don't panic; this will pass after a few weeks. Additionally, the treatment can prevent roaches from breeding, which will prevent future infestations.

When Can You Clean Your House After The Treatment?

When we have finished the treatment, we know you'll be eager to clean your house, but we advise holding off for five to seven days. Otherwise, you can unintentionally wipe away our application and make it unusable. So, our expert technician will guide you about when and how you should clean your home after the treatment.

How long does it take to kill everything off?

Pesticides are not instant-kill products, where you may see everything dead in less than an hour. Some of the non-repellent pesticides we employ have a slow action because they're made to prevent bugs from detecting and avoiding the treated areas.
At A2 Pest Management, our main goal is to provide effective treatment of pests and customer satisfaction. So, we pay attention to what each customer has to say and try to offer the best service possible. Here’s a brief overview of how long it might take for different pests to be completely eliminated once you’ve had your property treated.

Native Cockroaches

Cockroaches should be completely eradicated within 3-6 weeks. For the first several weeks after treatment, an increase in activity is normal. Keep an eye on the property's active areas and clean them as necessary.

Spiders

Within 4 weeks, you should see a substantial decrease in webbing spiders around your property. For homes where there are significant ground spider issues, we advise treating spiders every 2-3 months. The best time to have this service done is during the warmer months, when spider activity is at its highest, for an efficient long-term spider treatment.

Ants

Ants should be eradicated by six weeks after treatment. After the treatment, it’s common to continue to see ants for up to 3–4 weeks. Make sure you follow the instructions that are provided by our pest control specialists.

Rodents

Rodent treatments may take a little longer. The full effects of a rodent treatment may take up to one month. Make sure not to seal off all entrances or exit points until the infestation has been eradicated. It is usually necessary to continue monitoring and follow-up treatments for at least one week.

Bed Bugs

Bed bug elimination can be challenging, but you should notice a 50% reduction in the first week after treatment. All carpets, rugs, curtains, and bedding would require hot water or steam cleaning. Our bed bug treatment process is certain to eradicate these pests within 3-6 weeks. Follow-up treatment may be required in some cases.

Possum

Possum infestations require a completely different approach to treatment than other pests. We set up traps using food like fruit, nuts, or seeds, and we entice them outside of your premises. The capture of these possums can often be fatal and result in a cruel demise. So, we immediately dispose of the carcasses because they can bring additional pests to the area. Due to their elusiveness, it typically takes 2-3 weeks. Make sure you don't block off your property's exits until the infestation has been eradicated.

How Should You Clean Your Property Before and After Treatment Service

Pests, such as ants, rodents, cockroaches, spiders, and other insects, can be a real nuisance in our homes. Hiring a professional pest control specialist is the best option to get rid of them. But it is not entirely up to professional pest control services to ensure that your home is rid of these nuisance pests; you also need to do your own as well, both before and after pest control. For instance, make sure that your food, clothing, furniture, and other items are stored properly before starting a pest control treatment. And, once the treatment is over, use them in a way that minimizes the possibility of re-infestation.

We always advise our customers to keep all treated areas undisturbed. For the first few weeks, avoid mopping all the way up to the margins of the inside walls, but you can still clean, vacuum, or even hose off some outside portions of your home. The same goes for pressure washing the exterior of the house. Avoid the windows and the area where the walls meet the ground at the base.
